Dreaming of a new project....
(pic from shutterbug.com)
Sooooo long since I have been here.  I really miss my blogging.  Life gets so busy it is difficult to sit down and just think LOL  Lately I am getting so much accomplished and my creative life is flowing nicely.  Always a happy song to my ears:)  I will be posting more often once again. I imagine you will want to know WHAT is keeping me so incredibly busy and so  you will.  Need to figure out why my camera refuses to communicate with my computer????????? If anyone has any answers on this I would really love to hear from you :) Pinterest is way too addictive and ,well have to LUV IT!!! My boards are really out of control!!!!   Great ideas and pictures to let the mind of the artist and creative soul wander endlessly.  My upholstery class is done, at least until fall and then the furniture projects begin again.  I am really very satisfied with the results of all I have completed thus far.  Revamp and restyle is my goal.  Color and great fabric to cute it up is always my motto.  Gardening and the outdoors will soon take over some of my hours ,but they will have been well spent.  An early spring has created very monstrous flowers and plants that surely need to be tamed.  I have not had a chance to knit very much and I miss my knitting group alot :(   Purging and cleaning and making life more organized and less cluttered.  I am getting somewhere and feeling good on that note.  Always lots of projects and so little time...............What are your project goals for the summer?????????    Drop me a line :)

Sew Tragically Creative: Fabric and Creative Ramblings

Sew Tragically Creative: Fabric and Creative Ramblings

Fabric and Creative Ramblings

A spectacular sunset painted with the heart and soul of a great artist

A few of my projects of late
A great knit fabric from Westminster Fabrics
January has been a stellar month as far as the wintry scenery goes.  NO SNOW! !!   So far so good for me anyway,I love the look of snow as it first appears, but as it goes on ,not so much.  I believe for me this means spring is that much closer to making it"s way here.  already thinking about my garden and what to plant, but for now I have other things I need to focus on.  I have been doing some design work and I am currently surrounded by beads, baubles, fabrics of burlap and velvet etc..Don"t get me wrong it is a good thing, although it is a part of the creative process I must happily endure LOL.  I have mostly decided that this year will be one to focus once again on establishing some sort of order amongst my many years of collections fabric, paints, beads, paper, vintage items of every type and kind.  How to do this I ask myself????Very carefully I need to delve in and simply work with one room at a time.
Sound familiar??? This is a ploy I must use as not to confuse the situation at hand too much,I know myself too well I imagine.  Once you cross the line into another room, perhaps to put something in it"s place I am doomed to fail for the day.  Why you ask???  My mind has a tendency to wander to the next vintage photo album, drawings from college, incomplete projects etc...I think you know the deal, then it is all over for the organization project for that day. LOL.  I like everyone else in this world have a project on my hands every day if not ,well life would be sort of boring
I been taking a class on upholstery my first project complete:)

And onto the next project with more to come!!!

Just for a few things I have coming my way.....Finally finished  my Louisa Harding fingerless mitts!!!  I made two pairs ,because somehow as I went to make the second mitt I inadvertently picked up the same wool in a slightly different shade ,let"s say and ,well I just simply had to make one to match that one and so on...Needless to say some lucky person will be receiving that extra pair..I am now an expert on making these ,as I was not so much that when I started this project.  I also have finished many a knitting project including a Louisa Harding cardi sort of a 40's style in Cascade 220 heather wool.  I really have to say I do love her designs this one was from "Knitting in The Details".  I am having some trouble uploading pics form my camera, but I will post some pics on these when I can.  In the mean time I must get myself in the creative mode and start designing some new things I am currently working.   Hope everyone is having a great January and a new year to renew the mind and the soul, creatively speaking.......

I spotted these in a window in our greater downtown area ,so talented.
Another talented craftsman check out their blog, histories Tracy and Lee Anderson.Yes, there is more too, alot fun stuff!!! They will be at Junk Market Underglass soon.
These are made if manila folders I believe and are so whimsical.

Road to Wonderful

The road that I started my trip on and on from there.  The road to wonderful.  What can I say??

Lots of horses along the Maryland Landscape.

Lots of old barns and horse farms love it!

An old cemetary out in the middle of nowhere

This is for you Sarah maybe this can be yours someday LOL.....

A glimpse of rushing waterfalls and this is just the beginning.  Stay tuned for more.....
Okay I know it has been quite some time since we have spoken.  If it is any consolation I have been doing alot .  I was on a mini vacation and had quite an adventure in the time I was there.  Actually experienced an earthquake in Pennsylvania on Tuesday and then hurricane Irene on Saturday in Maryland.  Who knew you could have that much excitement all in one week with out going too far.  I have so much to share with everyone over the next few weeks and yes I have had much going on.  Really ,not a bad thing just busy.  Hey ,life is too short to wait around.  I say go for it!  The weather has been absolutely gorgeous for some time in every place I have been, well except for the hurricane ,but it did produce one of the most gorgeous days around the next morning.  Hard to believe ,but it was quite nice just a bit on the windy side is all. I want to start with a bit of vaca pics.  I think you will like these and yes, it was relaxing.  Went to visit and college friend and enjoyed every minute.  Relaxed and did alot of knitting, eating and drank alot of good Turning Leaf pinot noir.  Did I say RELAXED???   Perfectly wonderful  days spending time with friends and welcomed into the family as if I had always been there.  Thanks guys:)

PS I have alot things, projects recipes, ideas etc.. coming this way.  I have been inspired and there is nothing that can stop me from moving forward so here goes nothing.................Stay tuned for something wondeful.....

Vintage Cars

The car with the view inside and out

That"s All She Wrote Folks.........
I went to a party recently had the pleasure of arriving to the grand event in a 58' Oldsmobile in my favorite color red and white.  Soooo much fun and those open windows you could actually see out of.  The roof is high so even a tall person can move around in an easy fashion.  My favorite truck was an cute old truck perfectly decked out in a perfect shade of deep aqua and even had an old style 7UP cooler in the back for a spur of the moment picnic if you must LOL.  What kind of car would you drive if you could go back to any era??????   I think for me the aqua truck with a canoe and a picnic basket and a great bottle of wine.HMMM....perhaps a bottle of Carmenere from Emilano Winery Love it!!!!  Have fun.
